Random--More Easter

I just found these pictures on my email that Anne Lowery took on Easter Sunday.  This is Sam's nursery 3 class on Sunday mornings.  Tonight is his last night in this class before he moves to the Tweenies class!  Could someone please tell me where the time has gone?

Ms. Sylvia, Ms. Melissa, Sam, Ellaree, Noland, Hadley, Brooklyn, and Brickelle

Thank you Nursery 3 teachers!! You have helped us get through the tears at drop-off...we'll see what happens Sunday :)

Great Strides 2012

May 20th, we had the Great Strides Walk at Bicentennial Mall.  Tori's Story raised the most money again this year, and we are so hopeful for a cure in the near future for this precious girl...

 We love you, Tori!!!

Me and my buddy, Maddie Leigh :)

Yummy snow cones!  Sam has plain ice, and he looks like a big kid in this picture :(

Zoo Fun

I think Sam was probably happy that I still had one more day of work last week because he got to go to the zoo with Nennie and Nae Nae! Thanks for taking him!!  I wasn't there, but it sure looks like they had fun.

Sam got to ride the carousel, too!

I think Nennie was tired by the end of the day, so all three kiddos got in the stroller :)

It's SUMMER!!!

Yay for summer and the pool!!!!!

Sam doesn't stay in the water really.  He would rather play around the pool.

Big kids in line to jump in the pool...

Sam decided to be a big kid...

but walked away when it was his turn :)

Baby Hudson

Last weekend, we got to go meet Baby Hudson.  He is so precious!! Here are some pictures we got of the three cousins in Huntsville.

 Hudson, Sam, and Kipton

Sam didn't want to get too close at first

Sam wasn't sure what to do being the oldest, since he is usually the baby. :)

We surprised Grandmerry at school Friday afternoon, and this is Sam with some of her students.  He thought he was big stuff!

Mess!

Somebody loves to empty our drawer in the bathroom!!

Visit to Patsy Ruth's

Mother's Day weekend, Sam and I went with Mimmy, Pops, Jenny, and M & M to visit Patsy Ruth.  It's always fun to visit her, and I think she enjoys our visits, too.  We took her to the mall to shop, and she told me we could come back every other month to take her shopping if we wanted to. :)

As always, we took advantage of the shopping in Atlanta, and below is what happens when Pops is left with the kids while we shop.
They had a blast!  But I have to admit I wasn't real thrilled considering it was about 60 degrees and we had a 4 1/2 hour ride home.

But after getting some dry clothes the kids were ready to go!!  So cute holding hands on the way home :)

Lemonade Stand

Friday Sam and the girlies had their first lemonade stand.  If we are really honest, I'm not sure we can say Sam did much, since he slept all of it except the last 30 minutes. :)  Anyway, we were doing it to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis, and we had an awesome turn out.  Jenny's house is a very good location, and we did it when Percy Priest was getting out of school in hopes of catching the crowd before they got to the Purple Cow.  Anyway, we had a good time.  We decided to pack it up when there were no more kids helping, so it looked like some adults were having a lemonade stand. :)

By the time Sam got there, the kids were really hot, and these were the only kids willing to pose.

After the lemonade stand, we went to David's church league softball game.  Sam really enjoyed his blow pop!

Sam's Sign Language

Sam has decided to make up his own signs instead of talking, so we decided we should document them.  Here are Sam's signs. (Please ignore the terribly messy room in the background!!)

"Pour"

 "Just a little bit"

He used to say "milk", but now he does this.

 "Yo-Ho" --his favorite song

"Shoot" the ball

"Me", especially when he doesn't want to do something

"Where"

"One more time" or "one more minute"-- which this week he has started doing when I tell him to stop doing something.

And his latest tricks--showing his muscles (we are working on making fists)

 and...

 Pops taught him defensive stance

And this was what he was doing by the end of us asking him to do all of his signs :)

I am realizing that part of the problem might be that I use my hands a lot when I talk.  But hopefully, he will start talking more by the time he starts school in the Fall, or I might have to teach his teachers his signs for communication. :)  Actually, over the last week or so he is trying to talk more.  He says "bye bye" all the time; he is actually trying to say words that start with d and g, not just b, m, or p.  He tries to repeat David when he says "gracias", and he is finally trying to say "Daddy".
