Beach Trip

This is only about a month over due, but we had so many pictures from 3 different sources that I couldn't make myself sit down and blog. But since everyday I keep putting it off is one more day later for his 10 month post. So here goes... We got to spend a week at the beach with David's whole family on his mom's side. PawPaw and Grandma even got to go, and I think they really enjoyed being there with everyone. However, we did miss Uncle Butch who wasn't able to come. We had a great time and look forward to many more beach trips in the future!

(Warning: Lots of pictures; some out of order)

We spent most of our time at the pool b/c Sam did not like the ocean.

My sweet boy!

Sam did not like this, but his daddy was determined to make him!

I know that was a lot of the same, but I couldn't choose.

"Mommy, can I eat this seashell?"

"I think I will"

"This was a good idea..."

"...until everyone yelled NO at me..."

There's my happy boy!! He learned how to really pull up at the end of the trip.

Sam had a great first trip to the beach!! He is a great traveler.

9 Months

I really dropped the ball on this one, but Sam turned 9 months on June 24th. We celebrated at the beach, so those pictures will be coming in a later post. Anyway, because we were at the beach his 9 month checkup was a little before the actual day, and the pictures with Jeffrey the Bear were about a week after.

Stats:

Weight: 20.8 lbs. (57%)

Length: 29 inches (77%)

At 9 months:

2 teeth

Crawling everywhere

Still very attached to Mommy

We think "Nonna" is "Momma"

Said "Dada" when looking at David (once but we are counting it:)

Learned how to spit out food

Can bite big pieces of food from his own hand

Sleeping (usually) from 8ish to 5 o'clock hour for bottle, then usually back to sleep

First time to the beach

So far pretty good at moving onto something else after being told "No" (after he laughs)

Still a very easy, happy boy

Since he has turned 9 months: (since I am late posting this)

Pulling up on everything

Can feed himself (even the small things)

Plays games

Everyday is so much fun!!

Wow...Really Behind!!

I didn't realize how behind I was until I downloaded the pictures from our camera. I had forgotten I took all of these. Anyway, Sam is getting more and more fun each day, and I could eat him up! :)

The day after my last post, where I think I mentioned he had no teeth, one of his bottom ones poked through, and the other was just a day or two behind.

Happy Boy!!

Sleepy Boy

8 Months

I have no idea where 8 months went! I am back in the phase of: "Do I really have a kid?" I think it is because he is about to be mobile and things are going to change dramatically. Anyway, Sam is growing like a weed and is sooooo much fun.

At 8 months:

Today he took one "crawling" step (might of done more, but Mimmy and I cheered, which distracted him and upset him because it was too loud)

Eats a lot -- anything we put in his mouth

Couldn't care less for daytime bottles

Crinkles his nose when he smiles

Hates the nursery

Still pretty attached to his mommy

Doesn't like getting his diaper changed

Doesn't like getting dressed

Still no teeth

Very cuddly

Gives hugs and kisses

Plays peekaboo

Does not like being in a room by himself

Sleeping great -- 8:30 to 7ish

We put up the jumparoo the other day. He loved it for a little while, and it was hilarious to watch. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to jump without spinning, so he doesn't get very excited when we put him in it anymore.

"Why are they laughing so hard at me?"

SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!
