Big Boy Bed

We are making the big move tonight to the big boy bed.  The crib is down so there is no turning back!

Sam's new bedroom arrangement

I think he will have plenty of room :)

His first nap was a success!  He went to sleep like normal, and we had to wake him up after 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Not ready for a picture yet.

Ready for his first full night in the bed.

Sam LOVES looking at his Bibles during the day and at night.  Let's hope that sticks!!

He likes to find the matching stories and pictures.
I can't believe he is already big enough to change to a normal bed.  Time is going too fast!!

Update 8/22/12: I am nervous about posting an update because last time it resulted in 2 terrible nights of sleep, but I am happy to report he has switched to his big boy bed without a hitch.  :)

Like Father, Like Son

Sam wants to do whatever his daddy does, whether it is a sound, a motion, or how he sits or lies down :)  David laid down, so Sam got his pillow and followed.  I LOVE IT!!

Notice Sam still likes his belly button every once in a while :)

Williamson County Fair

After Grandma's birthday party and a nap, we went to the Williamson County fair with Granddaddy and Grandmerry.  Sam really enjoyed it all, except for touching the animals.  Wonder where he gets that?

Looking at the baby pigs

So cute and little, the babies that is :)

Looking at the goat

"Cheese" with the baby chicks

Looking at the pony from a distance until...
Daddy made him pet it.  He was not a fan!

In the pen with the baby sheep and goats...still did not want to touch.

Sam let Grandmerry do all of the work

"Being a Farmer" -- Sam would not put on his apron

Feeding the chickens

Sam didn't care that the sheep was fake, he still let David brush it instead of him :)

Fishing

Caught one!
Sam really liked getting in the tractor

Planting...

Watering...

Harvesting...the girl telling him what to get could not believe how well he listened.  Instead of grabbing anything, he listened every time she told him to get something different.

Feeding the cow

Milking the cow

"Selling" his goods at the market

"Buying" with the money he earned.  He could choose from animal crackers, milk, ice cream sandwich, or an apple.  What did my child choose?

An apple...and he was so proud!

Sam did not like the "statue"

Going on the big slide...

Yes, Sam is on the ride...

One more time Daddy!  Which one more time to Sam means again, since we do one more time over and over and over :)

The carousel with Granddaddy

Looks like they are having a serious discussion :)

I couldn't resist.  This was the man taking tickets on the carousel, and the man starting it looked the same.  I guess it had been a long day :)
