Samuel Update

Yesterday I went to the doctor, and everything looks good. But the big news is that the little guy will be making his appearance on September 24!! It is hard to believe that David and I will be parents in 9 weeks. Yikes! We are so excited to get to meet him. So unless something goes differently when they try to schedule my c-section, Sam will be here September 24th bright and early!
I wanted to have at least one picture on this post. This is a cute towel we got at the Huntsville shower.

Huntsville Baby Shower

This past weekend we had our first baby shower. David's family was so sweet to give us one, and these ladies really went above and beyond. If you know me, you know I love cute food! That may sound funny, but I like good food that is decorated or presented in a cute or pretty way. So below you will see what I mean by I LOVED the food. Anyway, we got lots of great things for Sam from David's family and sweet Maysville C of C family. Thank you all for everything!

I couldn't reach my toes, so my sweet husband did a fabulous job painting my toenails. :)

Aunt Beth really outdid herself for the shower. Thanks Michael and Beth for hosting the shower at your house. This is the cute jungle themed diaper cake she made.

Adorable onesie cake, also by Aunt Beth.

Above and below are the cute cookies Beth made.

Jungle themed, chocolate covered oreos. Guess who made them? That's right, Beth! I think Beth and I could have many hours of fun making desserts.

How cute is this? Aunt Paula made this cute baby carriage for the fruit. LOVE IT! This was all the baby themed food, but don't be fooled, all of the ladies made tons of delicious food. We had chicken salad, dips, and even coffee punch.

All the wonderful hostesses! Thank you!! I guess David is getting embarrassed by how big I am getting since he didn't really mention that you couldn't see me. :) Oh well.

Thanks everyone! We know Sam is going to be loved!

Fort Morgan

We got to enjoy a great week at the beach with David's family several weeks ago. We all had a good time, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Thanks Carey and Pam for a great vacation!

The view from our balcony

Last relaxing vacation before Sam's arrival. :)

David ventured into to the water a little despite the threat of oil.

The black specks, the biggest between David's footprints, were the extent of the oil that we saw. But Michael picked some up, and it was definitely oil because he couldn't wait to get back and wash his hands. We didn't see much oil, but President Obama came down the street we were staying on and was welcomed by this crowd. I actually saw him waving at us as he flew down the highway.

25 weeks
We had a great vacation, and we look forward to more!
I don't have any pictures, but I wanted everyone to know that Courtney and I did actually survive church camp in the 90+ temperatures. We had fun with no problems except maybe some cankles.

22 week belly shot

I am not a big fan of the awkward belly shot pose.
I also had to show David's softball injury he got in church league softball several weeks ago. He was a runner on first base, and our next batter hit a really hard line drive down the first base line. Luckily, it hit David where it did and not in the back of the head; pretty sure it would have knocked him out had it hit him in the head. It was one of shots where you could hear the whole crowd ooohh when it hit. He was pretty sore, but fortunately no serious damage.
If you look close enough you might be able to see the stitch marks it left.

First Sleepover

I can't believe that none of our nieces or nephew had spent the night with us before Brady did a couple of weeks ago. I guess the grandparents usually get the call before us. Anyway, we kept Brady one Sunday night when Tori had to be at the hospital for a CF test (which everything looked good on) very early. Natalie was worried because the two nights before we kept him, Brady had had some of the worst nights sleeping of his whole short life. But as it usually goes he was perfect. He slept without a peep. David was a big help, and I know he will be with Sam, too. If keeping Brady was any indication of the future, I won't have to do anything for Sam when David is home! :)

Brady loves his Uncle D

This is how Brady fell asleep.

Is this what my future might look like?
We had fun with Brady, and we really need to have the others before Sam arrives.
