First Time in Sunday School

Lilly went to Sunday School for the first time Sunday.  We thought David should drop her off, since she is so attached to me, but he is teaching a class right now, so I had to.  Somehow there were not any tears!  And she made it the whole time!!  We shall see how it goes next time :)

Stella and 7 Months

We finally got to meet Stella!  She is so cute, and we are so excited that David, Laura and Stella now live in Tennessee again!  They may be in Knoxville, but it is definitely closer than California :)

Lilly and Stella

We were showing Stella what bow she should get to stay in her hair.  Lilly doesn't usually wear a bow with her pj's, but I do like the look :)

I got home from the grocery the Saturday after Disney at about 10:30, and this is how I found Sam.  I guess he was still catching up from the trip!!

At 7 months:
Sits up pretty well
Very attached to Mommy
No bottle
Still 2 teeth
Still working on sleeping through night

Not sure why she has scary bright eyes!

Sam wants his picture taken, too.

They love each other :)

6 Months!!

Where does the time go?  I can't believe Lilly is half a year old :(

At 6 months:

16 pounds
26.5 inches
(both measurements really taken at almost 7 months at Doctor's appt.)
Still only roll from belly to back - have done the other way one time
Sits up pretty good - still needs a pillow behind
Likes table food better, but not much into eating period
Not sleeping through night - gets up about 2 times still
(Mommy needs to let her cry :)
Starting to get pretty attached to Mommy - here we go again :)
Likes to scream for the fun of it

This is a really fun age, but I wish that time would slow down!

We can now wear a real bow! Yes it is clipped in her hair!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I am pretty excited: David is getting the house cleaned for me!!  WooHoo!  I think that means I am old when I get this excited about a house cleaning :)

Fun at Home

Here are some fun things that Sam likes to do at home:

Take pictures
Play cars...we spend a lot of time moving these cars.  He likes to move the front one about an inch or two and then move the rest behind it up one at a time :)
Then we move them to his garage one at a time...a very specific way :)  These games take patience...mainly from the adult :)
And play Candy Land or Chutes and Ladders!

Lilly is playing a lot on the floor now, too.

Brother coming to play!

She decided to eat a cucumber for supper :)

She really is trying to be big!

Food!!

Lilly has been eating baby food for over a month, but I am pretty sure she wants the real thing!  Whenever someone is eating around her, she stares at them and the food the entire time they eat it.  She has eaten real bites of orange and banana.  Tonight she was crying and getting mad between bites of banana because I apparently wasn't giving it fast enough.  Didn't realize she had learned how to chew so quickly. :)  These first pictures are from this afternoon when Lilly and Owen were having a face-off.

Owen eying the target.

Lilly with the slight advantage with the target closer.

Pretty sure neither of them got it :)

Mimmy with #6 and #7 -- can you tell the babies like their orange foods by their noses?

First time in her booster--second time to play with a sippy cup

Apparently the flash was too bright, so he said :)

Eating puffs for the first time.  This looks like she liked them...she made a funny face every time they went in her mouth.

Lilly 5 Months

Well, I have definitely fallen down on the blog! However, in hopes of pulling myself out of this funk, I am going to try to start posting again regularly and catch up on the past YEAR when I can in hopes not to get further and further behind!!  Anyway, don't know that Lilly has even been mentioned yet on the blog, and she is already 5 months old!  I know that is terrible, but all I can do now is try to remedy the situation. :)  So, here we go...

Sweet baby girl is a VERY good baby.  She still really only cries when she is tired or hungry.  Her first tooth poked through Sunday, January 19! (Yes, before she was even 5 months) And the second one poked through today!  Can't believe she already has teeth.  Last Saturday, she did not nap well and was a little fussy, but other than that these teeth weren't bad.  I hope it is like that for the rest.  Also, this month we have gotten rid of her cradle cap.  She still has a couple of spots occasionally, but for the most part it is gone!  Woo Hoo! Now Tori doesn't have to ask about her "crust" every time we see her! :)

At 5 months:
Rolls from tummy to back
Sits up fairly well
Eats 1-3 cartons of fruit and vegetables per meal
Sleeps from about 8 to 7 with one feeding
Smiles and laughs a lot
Loves Sam and watching him play
Holds on to toys

These 5 month pictures were actually taken on January 22nd!

Still have a pretty serious face most of the time

These following pictures were taken before bed tonight.  Lilly and Sam were playing on our bed.  When Sam first got up on the bed beside her, she immediately rolled onto her side to get him.  He does not like her to scratch him :)  Actually the other day, he got up beside her on the bed and then told on her for "getting him"; yes, the only way she could reach him was if HE got in HER face :)  I love their interaction!! She loves him, and he definitely loves her, too!!
Sam was pretending to be asleep; he was "snoring"

Here he is snoring with his eyes open :)

Both kids are at a really fun age.  Lilly is getting better being entertained by toys, and she is definitely entertained watching Sam.  Sam is still very much in to ball!  He and David play every night still.  Sam is also really into games, too.  We play Candyland and Chutes and Ladders about everyday, too.  He is getting better about when he loses. :)
